The check-engine light means a sensor or system monitored by the car’s ECU is operating outside expected values. A steady light is usually not urgent; a flashing light indicates a risky condition and you should avoid pushing the engine.
1. If it flashes, slow down and visit a shop as soon as possible.
2. If steady, check the fuel cap; even a loose cap can trigger it.
3. If there is power loss, shaking or noise, don’t push the car.
In our workshop we read the fault code with equipment and offer a free initial diagnosis to fix the issue correctly and permanently.
